Straight Outta Lynwood. Okay, Downs. Whatever. You get the idea.

Listen up, people. I’ve got two tickets to paradise Wichita. The second leg of “Weird Al” Yankovic’s ongoing Straight Outta Lynwood tour is rolling through the air capital this Thursday night and my brother and I will be in attendance. Good times ahead for the brothers Cooper. That is, if you don’t count the drive down or the drive back… in either case, awkward silence will reign supreme.

I’m hoping to actually get a few pictures this time around. My wife and I went to see him there during his previous tour in 2003, and although we took our camera, we forgot to take it in. Which means this time I’ll remember it, but they won’t be allowing photography or some shit.

Well, it seems some people will do just about anything for publicity nowadays. Take, for instance, Washington’s own “Bee Woman,” seen here doing what she does best. Little is known about the origins of the Bee Woman, her motives or indeed what, if any, point there may be to her bee-suit-wearing lifestyle. But who am I to pass judgement? She really seems to enjoy what she does, even if it means developing a traumatic phobia later in life. God bless you, Bee Woman. You’re truly an inspiration to us all.
